"Livin' on a Prayer"
|
| Santosh Gnanakan, or Saggy, as he’s affectionately called by friends and radio listeners, has been in the media for 13 years. He started out as a journalist with a newspaper, jumped on to the dotcom bandwagon, jumped off it and joined the radio industry and even dabbled in a bit of television hosting, during a one-year stint in Sri Lanka. There’s been no looking back ever since. Saggy always knew he wanted to do something different and attributes his present success to the hand of God and him failing an important Hindi exam in high school. A ‘failure’ that changed the course of his life forever. He now finds himself at the end of one exciting chapter and at the beginning of a new exciting one. The world tells him he’s crazy to give up radio, but his heart knows better.
Santosh is currently the creative director at Radio Indigo 91.9FM in Bangalore and hosts the popular Indigo Night Patrol, a show that airs every evening between 8 and 10 pm and features the best of classic and modern rock.
Santosh, 38, is married to Christobelle and they have two daughters - Keyah is 6 and Jada is 2. They live in Koramangala, Bangalore. His interests include food, travel and television. He’d love to read more, but doesn’t get enough time in the toilet.
